India's economy and policy agenda with V. Anantha Nageswaran

Virtual roundtable
  Tue 7 Mar 2023 14:00 - 15:00

V. Anantha Nageswaran, chief economic adviser to the government of India, provides insight into India’s economy, the government’s policy agenda in the context of global and domestic challenges and the country’s future role in the world economy.

In 2022, despite global headwinds such as geopolitical instability and high inflation, India’s strong economic performance contrasted with below-trend gross domestic product growth in most of the world. With further uncertainty stemming from a slowdown in global demand and China’s belated reopening to the world, can India continue to outpace its fellow major economies in 2023?
