Outlook 2023: Foreign exchange market developments

Virtual roundtable
  Mon 23 Jan 2023 14:30 - 15:30

Uncertainties hang over the outlook for monetary policy in 2023. Headline inflation continues to pose a challenge for policy-makers despite hawkish rhetoric from central banks.

Global foreign exchange market conditions for making bets and timing judgements are challenging. As such, foreign exchange traders will have to earn their keep over the coming year.

Mark Sobel, US chairman at OMFIF, is joined by a panel of experts to discuss the 2023 foreign exchange market outlook. Participants will have the opportunity to ask their questions at the end of the discussion.

Speakers:
Christian Kopf, Head of Fixed Income Fund Management, Union Investment.
Rebecca Patterson, Former Chief Investment Strategist at Bridgewater Associates.
Ebrahim Rahbari, Global Head of Foreign Exchange Analysis, Citi.
Daniel Tenengauzer, Managing Director, Head of Markets Strategy, BNY Mellon

Timings:
09:30-10:30 (New York)
14:30-15:30 (London)

This meeting will be conducted under the OMFIF Rules.
