Navigating global economic and geopolitical uncertainty

On the occasion of the International Monetary Fund-World Bank annual meetings, DZ BANK and OMFIF are co-hosting a lunch discussion on the global macroeconomic outlook, providing an opportunity for the international community to support those affected by the devastating earthquake in Morocco and flooding in Libya. To mitigate the impacts of these and other future natural disasters, it is clear the global community must work together now more than ever before.
The panellists will offer perspectives on how to navigate economic, geopolitical and environmental crises, as well as how financial markets can play a greater role in natural disaster recovery and climate resilience.
The session opens with a keynote speech from Joachim Nagel, Deutsche Bundesbank president, followed by an international panel discussion covering:
- Geopolitical tensions
- Global macroeconomic outlook: inflation, debt and the impacts of climate change
- Divergent growth between advanced and emerging economies
- Financing natural disaster recovery and climate resilience
