Katharine Braddick, director general of financial services at the UK Treasury, will discuss the current state of play on financial market access, and the benefits and alternatives to equivalence. She will also talk about the UK government’s objectives of stability and competitiveness, the UK and its status as a third country after it leaves the European Union, and the impact of shifting UK financial firm business to the EU.

Katharine joined the Treasury in 2014 as director of financial services (international). Before that, she spent a decade in financial services regulation at the Financial Services Authority and latterly, the Bank of England, where she was director of prudential policy.
