Virtual roundtable   Virtual
  Thu 23 Jun 2022 12:00 - 16:00

The objective of this workshop is to help emerging market sovereign issuers in Africa enter the green, social, and sustainable bond markets. By bringing in key stakeholders from all sides of the GSS capital markets – experienced debt management offices, treasuries, development banks, investors, ratings agencies and intermediaries – it builds a firm foundation for DMOs to prepare future issuance from emerging market sovereigns.

Key themes of discussion include:

  • Work needed for DMOS and treasuries to develop the required steps for issuance
  • How bond issuance fits with debt dynamics and management strategy
  • Designing frameworks, coordination with stakeholders and data collection
  • Developing supply to meet investor bond demand
  • Determining eligible projects for investment
