Response to Covid-19 from the ECB

Following the shock of Covid-19 and the necessary financial response to mitigate a European recession, the European Central Bank expanded its monetary policy easing programme.

Massimo Rostagno, director general for monetary policy at the ECB discusses this response and the ECB’s position in the European recovery process.
