Global Public Investor 2019 London launch: China’s City Clusters: Urbanisation in emerging markets
The Global Public Investor is devoted to public sector asset ownership and management around the world, with the aim of spreading best practice among central banks, sovereign funds and public pension funds.
For the launch of the sixth annual Global Public Investor in London, Barings and OMFIF are inviting guests to an evening reception with presentations on emerging market urbanisation, with special emphasis on China. The GDP of its ‘Greater Bay Area’ would make the region one of the world’s top 20 economies. This scale of infrastructure and real-estate development, accompanying China’s shift towards a consumption-led economy, presents important implications for investors, and is of widespread significance for other regions around the world.
