Geopolitics and payments infrastructures

Geopolitics and payments infrastructures

Virtual roundtable
  Wed 22 Jun 2022 13:00 - 14:00

As events in Ukraine unfolded earlier this year, the world was reminded of the influence geopolitics has on financial systems and vice versa. Economic sanctions are nothing new, but the role of payments infrastructures is evolving due to changes in globalisation and interdependence. Brent McIntosh, OMFIF advisory council member and former under secretary of the US Treasury for international affairs (2017-19), joins the Digital Monetary Institute to discuss geopolitics and payments infrastructures.

Timings:
13:00-14:00 (London)
08:00-09:00 (New York)

Speaker:

Brent McIntosh
OMFIF advisory council member and former under secretary
US Treasury for international affairs (2017-19)

This virtual discussion is part of the OMFIF Digital Monetary Institute.
