Steffen Meyer, head of the department for economic, financial and climate policy at the German Chancellery, discusses priority economic issues for Germany, including domestic growth and inflation expectations, the impact of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, objectives for the G7 presidency and climate action. He also gives an overview of fiscal and monetary developments across the euro area.
