Greenflation: delving into implications for monetary policy
Virtual roundtableSustainable Policy Institute
Thu 07 Mar 202414:00 - 15:00

As the world moves towards a net-zero future, better understanding of the green transition’s inflationary impact is required. While demand for the critical commodities needed for green technologies is rising, supply is constrained and this may contribute to pressure on prices.
This roundtable – part of a series of work where OMFIF’s Sustainable Policy Institute is examining the inflationary risk of climate change and green transition – will analyse these developments. The discussion will also cover topics such as green capital investment, infrastructure development and the role central banks will play in the transition.
