Improving gender representation across industries: how to break through the glass ceiling

Improving gender representation across industries: how to break through the glass ceiling

Virtual panel
  Fri 21 Apr 2023 14:00 - 15:40

OMFIF’s Sustainable Policy Institute is launching the 10th edition of the Gender Balance Index. This flagship publication tracks the gender balance of senior leadership teams in central banks and major financial institutions.

The report will unveil the latest gender balance scores for central banks, commercial banks and global public funds and sovereign funds, and unpack whether there has been progress in achieving gender parity. This 2023 edition also features a survey of central banks and their policies regarding female presentation and career development, with a focus on breaking through the glass ceiling. We analyse policies including gender quotas, parental leave, pay and more. And this year’s GBI is about much more than just numbers. Industry views are explored through case studies of policies and approaches implemented by private sector institutions.

To launch the 10th edition of the GBI, OMFIF’s Sustainable Policy Institute is hosting a virtual event on 21 April. The launch will contain high-level keynotes and discussions on the latest global gender actions and policies.

The report will also be launched in-person in London on Thursday 20 April at 18:00. Click to register to attend in-person.
