Tue 07 Apr 202614:00 - 15:30

Whichever candidate wins the 12 April election, it is certain Hungary’s next government must engage seriously with the financial sector and clarify plans for economic reform.

This OMFIF virtual roundtable examines how the elections might shape the country’s macroeconomic and financial outlook. It assesses potential shifts in fiscal and monetary policy, as well as the possible impact of the politics on the European Union relationship.

The expert panel considers how different electoral outcomes might affect sovereign risk, credit ratings, investor confidence and capital flows.
