She previously served as chancellor of the Lithuanian government where she oversaw legislative and operational government programme delivery, inter-institutional coordination and the government’s strategic priorities implementation.

She was previously in the fiscal affairs department, where she worked on the semi-annual Fiscal Monitor, produced analysis on fiscal rules and was fiscal economist for Georgia, Honduras and Argentina. She has also worked in the African department.

Nikhil also leads OMFIF’s economic research and content, including global surveys of central banks, regulators and market participants. Previously, he was an emerging markets economist at Capital Economics, where he led the coverage of Latin America.

Oscar Valencia is principal specialist, fiscal management at the Inter-American Development Bank. He is also head of the Fiscal Sustainability for Latin America and the Caribbean platform. Prior to joining the IDB, he was general director of macroeconomic policy at the Colombian Ministry of Finance. He has also served as technical secretary of the Independent Committee for Fiscal Rule in Colombia.
