The Americas transition finance summit
2026 may prove to be a pivotal year for transition finance. Changing priorities in the face of geopolitical tension and trade dynamics have caused some jurisdictions to roll back on sustainability. But the impacts of climate change are worsening each year and time is running out to reach net zero.
Long-term investors and asset managers remain focused on the urgent need for transition finance, however. As the US and other jurisdictions turn away from climate change, these investors are looking to other regions for their sustainable investments. Latin America is one of those regions.
The Americas transition finance summit, hosted by OMFIF and BIVA, is a platform for advancing credible, investable pathways to net zero. Taking place in Mexico City, the summit will convene leaders from asset management, private equity, public development banks, ministries of finance, central banks and corporates to share expertise, meet the challenges of the green transition and examine the opportunities for investors in the region.
