Team Europe’s borrowing outlook for 2025
OMFIF’s Sovereign Debt Institute, in partnership with LBBW, is hosting an exclusive roundtable to bring together ‘Team Europe’, the continent’s three key public sector borrowers in the European Union, European Investment Bank and the European Stability Mechanism. The forum provides a platform for these borrowers along with leading fixed income investors to reflect on the year’s issuance, discuss the development and next steps in the building of sustainable European safe assets. The event also provides an opportunity to discuss how to grow and diversify the global investor base for European issuers, as well as preview the funding outlook heading into next year.

Kalin Anev Janse is chief financial officer of the European Stability Mechanism. He oversees the funding and investor relations division responsible for €300bn of outstanding debt and the investment and treasury division investing the €80bn ESM capital. Additionally, he is in charge of asset and liability management and financial structuring, overseeing the ESM and European Financial Stability Facility balance sheet.
