Fintech and a digital future in central and eastern Europe

As part of OMFIF’s initiative to unlock Hungary’s post-pandemic growth potential, we are pleased to convene a conference in Budapest to provide expert insights into regional macroeconomic developments. The conference explores the opportunities for Hungary to establish its credentials as an important economic and financial centre.
This session examines the impact of digital assets on capital markets and the increasing significance of fintech in transforming financial services within the region. We discuss the latest developments in cross-border payments, including central bank digital currencies, instant payment solutions and infrastructure improvement. Implications for monetary policy, financial intermediation and overall financial stability are also explored.
