Navigating the EU taxonomy regulation

Since the creation of the European Union taxonomy in 2020, more than 30 green taxonomies have been in development globally. Taxonomies are becoming crucial in defining criteria for sustainable activities, yet many organisations and industries transitioning remain excluded. In addition to this, green investment levels fell in 2022 and greenwashing and mislabelling persists.
More work needs to be done to ensure a standardised approach to reporting. This panel will discuss the development of taxonomy, eligibility and alignment criteria, usability from an investor’s perspective and considerations for environmental, social and governance ratings.
