Rashad Cassim, deputy governor of the South African Reserve Bank, joins OMFIF to discuss the near-term macroeconomic outlook for South Africa. He will consider key issues such as inflation, growth and international economic relations as well as the implications for monetary policy.

Rashad Cassim is deputy governor of South African Reserve Bank. He is also chief economist and head of economic research and statistics, responsible for the markets and international cluster, including financial markets and national payment systems. He serves on the Markets Committee of the Bank for International Settlements and chairs the Corporation for Public Deposits. Before joining SARB, he served as the deputy director-general at Statistics South Africa.
