Boris Vujčić on price stability in the euro area

Boris Vujčić, governor of the Croatian National Bank, joins OMFIF to discuss the search for price stability in the euro area. He explores the accession of southeast European states to the European Union as well as Croatia’s role in helping them to prepare for membership. The discussion also considers the economic and political issues facing Europe after the US elections.

Boris Vujčić is governor of the Croatian National Bank. He also worked in the European Commission in Brussels, first as a trainee, and then as an external adviser in the monetary matters department. Vujčić was also deputy chief negotiator in the Republic of Croatia’s negotiations with the European Union. He has been a member of the general council of the European Central Bank and a member of the European Systemic Risk Board’s Steering Committee and chairman of the Vienna Initiative 2.0.
