24 June 2025
OMFIF's flagship Global Public Investor highlights the latest trends in foreign exchange reserve management through our annual survey of over 70 central banks across the world.
For the 12th edition of the report in 2025, we address key questions including: how will the interest rate environment impact reserve managers’ fixed income portfolios? Will the dollar continue to dominate in global reserves? Will they diversify into new asset classes such as equities, green bonds or digital assets?
Join us in this launch event for a presentation of the report findings and a discussion with reserve managers and industry experts.

OMFIF’s GPI report has been exploring the investment trends in reserve management for 11 editions, using our valued network of central banks globally. The 2024 report drew on surveys of 73 respondents with $5.4tn in international assets to unveil their wariness of geopolitical risk, expected diversification of fixed-income portfolios and reluctance on the renminbi. The 2025 edition will build on this industry-leading survey while drawing on interviews and contributions from central bankers and experts. It will also feature a chapter on the investment intentions of public pension and sovereign funds, and how they contrast with central banks.
