Regulating the growth of green finance

Regulating the growth of green finance

Roundtable   London   Europe
  Tue 15 Oct 2019 14:45 - 16:00

Following policy-makers’ adoption of the United Nations sustainable development goals, and as grassroots campaigns gain momentum, there is an increasingly global focus on tackling climate change and securing a green future. Ministries of finance, central banks and the financial sector are all seeking ways in which to follow this trend.

Sébastien Raspiller, who is responsible for regulation within the French financial sector, and Linda Lacewell, of the New York State Department of Financial Services, will discuss how regulation and market developments can work alongside the growth of green finance. The roundtable will cover the development of green products, standardisation and alignment with the creation of a green taxonomy, and opportunities for investment.
