Balanced, inclusive and green: rebalancing China’s economy

Virtual roundtable   Virtual
  Wed 30 Mar 2022 16:00 - 17:00

China rebounded strongly from the pandemic. However, growth is losing momentum and remains highly reliant on support from investment and exports, which threatens China’s sought-after transition to sustained, high-quality growth that’s balanced, inclusive and green. There are no easy answers to China’s many challenges. Helge Berger, China mission chief at the International Monetary Fund, joins OMFIF’s Mark Sobel to discuss the world’s second largest economy and rebalancing towards a more consumption-based model.

Speaker:
Helge Berger, China mission chief and Assistant Director, IMF

Timings:
16:00- 17:00 (London)
11:00- 12:00 (New York)

This meeting will be conducted under the OMFIF Rules.
