The role:

Reporting to the Editorial Director, the Editorial and Marketing Assistant will be responsible for publishing daily news articles, building and sending daily, weekly and monthly subscriber newsletters and promoting OMFIF activities and publications on social media. The role will involve supporting the wider Editorial and Production team with proofreading, administrative and author management tasks. This role is a three month internship.

Key responsibilities:

  • Building, proofreading and scheduling OMFIF’s daily, weekly and monthly newsletters
  • Sourcing artwork and preparing daily commentaries for publication on OMFIF’s website
  • Liaising with the research and marketing teams to produce social media posts for LinkedIn and X promoting OMFIF’s publications
  • Supporting the Editorial and Production team with proofreading research reports and journals at final proof stage
  • Editing and proofreading material for OMFIF’s events, including agendas and programmes, as well as marketing copy for the website and email campaigns
  • Collating, analysing and sharing readership statistics with relevant internal stakeholders

Skills, experience and qualifications:

Required

  • Someone who is at the start of their career, recently graduated and looking to build experience in the publishing industry
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent grammar
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe
  • A proactive approach, willingness to learn and ability to take on new challenges
