Public sector debt summit

SeminarEuropeParisSovereign Debt Institute
Thu 21 Mar 202408:30 - 16:30

OMFIF’s Sovereign Debt Institute is returning with its third Public sector debt summit, taking place in Paris. This flagship event convenes developed and emerging market public sector borrowers with asset managers, investment banks and other key market participants for engaging discussions on the most pressing issuance concerns.

As with all our in-person events, the entire day will be off the record with no media in attendance to encourage participants to speak freely and stimulate authentic discussions. There will be ample networking opportunities through refreshment breaks as well as a pre-event dinner the evening before. Our bespoke format has proved very popular with attendees, and our events have been labelled by leading market participants as the ‘best forum to debate sovereign, supranational and agency issues’.

We will begin the discussions with an outlook for the global economy and monetary policy and an insight into how investors are viewing the market and the risks ahead. We will then present the findings of our annual Public Sector Debt Outlook survey, examining the funding plans by SSA borrowers for the year ahead. The sessions will also focus on borrowers, taking stock of Q1 and identifying lessons to apply for 2024, exploring how to improve liquidity and the primary dealership model and analysing diversification strategies.
