Insurance: a catalyst for financial resilience
Extreme storms, wildfires and floods have devastated communities and nations globally, endangering lives and costing billions in losses. Insurance may be a key to unlocking greater resilience across the financial sector. Innovative mechanisms, including catastrophe bonds and other insurance-linked instruments, combined with insurers’ risk assessment and management techniques, will be critical to understanding and managing physical risk.
This roundtable brings together insurers, ratings agencies, investors and regulators to discuss how insurance, both as an industry and as a tool, can catalyse better financial decision-making across markets.
