COP30 in review: central banks and climate adaptation

Virtual roundtableSustainable Policy Institute

Over the past 12 months, global geoeconomic priorities have moved away from ESG and sustainability finance, spurred by countries’ declining aid budgets and rollbacks on climate action. This has put pressure on the ability of COP30 to re-invigorate political and financial momentum in this space.

This roundtable addresses the key findings and discussions from COP30, with a focus on how to leverage public and private financing towards climate adaptation and resilience. It brings together members from multilateral development banks, central banks and private financial institutions to consider how finance can be best mobilised to support climate resilience, adaptation and the green transition.
