COP28, climate transition and the IMF: in conversation with Bo Li

In the lead up to COP28, OMFIF’s Sustainable Policy Institute is joined by Bo Li, deputy managing director of the International Monetary Fund. Li will provide an overview of the global effort to fight climate change, the IMF’s objectives for COP28 and its present activities in climate mitigation and adaptation.
Topics for discussion will include the IMF’s Resilience and Sustainability Trust and multilateral development banks’ efforts to leverage finance for emerging economies and vulnerable states. The conversation will also touch on the need for carbon taxation as well as the role of climate finance policies and transition finance.
