OMFIF’s Gender Balance Index analyses the state of gender parity in senior leadership roles across the financial sector. The 2025 edition explores how far we are from reaching gender balance, based on data from more than 300 institutions, covering over 6,000 individuals.

This year’s report takes a closer look at the types of roles women hold at financial institutions. It analyses the impact of existing policies and the importance of robust data and standards in driving meaningful change towards achieving gender parity.

About the Sustainable Policy Institute

IMG_0004

OMFIF’s Sustainable Policy Institute was launched in 2020 to meet the challenges of creating a sustainable financial system. It brings together high-level central bankers, pension and sovereign funds, regulators, government officials, asset managers, investors and banks in off-the- record, moderated exchanges to drive the sustainability agenda.

Since its inception, the SPI has hosted over 130 events, ranging from roundtables and seminars to large- scale summits. The discussions tackle issues including transition finance, climate risk integration and mitigation, the inflationary implications of climate change and scaling up sustainable capital markets.
