He is a board member of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s blockchain expert policy advisory board and is a member of the World Economic Forum’s digital currency governance consortium.

Sonja Davidovic is an adviser at the Innovation Hub of the Bank for International Settlements in Singapore. She is seconded from the Monetary Authority of Singapore while on leave from the International Monetary Fund, where she worked as an economist and digital expert on transformative technologies. In addition to numerous analytical and research papers on financial technology and digital currencies, she also contributed to the G20 agenda to enhance cross-border payments. Most recently, she worked as market infrastructure expert on the digital euro investigation phase at the European Central Bank.

SWIFT

Saskia leads SWIFT’s strategic programme that focuses on removing friction from the cross-border payments industry to enable instant and frictionless transactions anywhere in the world. She is also responsible for exploring the role new innovations such as new payment means and MI interlinking could play and how SWIFT could facilitate them. In this role, Saskia works in close collaboration with the industry bodies such as FSB and CPMI.

Prior to being appointed to her current role in December 2021, Saskia headed up SWIFT’s Business Development teams across Northern Europe. She was also responsible for SWIFT gpi and market infrastructures across Europe, the Middle East & Africa.

Saskia joined SWIFT in 2006 and has held several management positions in the sales and relationship management area, covering securities and banking sales activities and developing community engagement across the region. Prior to joining SWIFT she was VP Global Account Management at MasterCard and held several sales and marketing positions at Synstar International and Sterling Software.

Katie-Ann Wilson is Managing Director, Digital Monetary Institute at OMFIF. She is responsible for leading and managing the team to deliver the institute’s overall business objectives through a pipeline of publications and events. Katie-Ann develops the editorial scope across these projects and supports senior engagement with central banks, regulators, financial services, and technology providers. She also contributes to the corporate leadership of the entire business.

Prior to joining OMFIF, she worked at King’s College London, supporting the social science and public policy faculty on research submissions to higher education funding bodies. Before this, she worked as a grant writer for a non-governmental organisation in Israel.
