The European Central Bank has announced that it is on track to hit its target to maintain inflation rates below, but close to, 2% over the medium term. However, political and economic uncertainty across the European Union remains.

With the UK gearing up to exit the EU and with the European Parliament elections just weeks away, Luis de Guindos, vice-president of the ECB, will present his thoughts on reforming the euro area, the future relationship between EU and UK, and ensuring financial stability across the continent. In this context, he will also discuss the euro area economic outlook.
