The global economy is under intense pressure from the energy market shocks and the cost-of-living crisis for many households due to high inflation.

Álvaro Santos Pereira, acting chief economist at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, joins OMFIF to discuss the OECD’s latest economic outlook and forecasts for world growth. He assesses the downside risks associated with energy market developments, the increase of financial vulnerability due to high interest rates and developing policies to maintain economic stability.
