Mobilising the sustainable and digital transition in global financial markets: adapting to the paradigm shift in investing and funding

Conference   Frankfurt
  Tue 9 May 2023 - Fri 12 May 2023 All Day

The annual DZ BANK Capital Markets Conference returns from 9-12 May in Frankfurt/Main. With support from and collaboration with Deutsche Bundesbank, KfW and OMFIF, the CMC 2023 will facilitate face-to-face discussions among global policy-makers, international financial market practitioners, high-level sustainable finance experts and worldwide investors in plenary sessions, with keynotes and panel discussions.

2022 saw a new era of volatility and uncertainty in global financial markets due to rising inflation and cost-of-living crises, geopolitical tensions, worsening climate and environmental crises – a further setback in achieving the United Nations’ sustainable development goals – and economic slowdowns in the world’s largest economies. In 2023, some predict the worst may be yet to come, while others are more optimistic.

Join us to discuss the opportunities and challenges for the global economy as financial markets adapt to new market conditions, making the shift and aligning investments to a more digitally driven and sustainable economy. Hear from experts on why the black-and-white thinking on sustainability must come to an end and how the new credo ‘transform instead of sell’ proves its worth even in turbulent times.

View Pentti Hakkarainen, former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Finland and Supervisory Board member of the European Central Bank’s speech at the event.

Further details, including the latest agenda and how to register, are available on the DZ BANK website.

This event is part of the OMFIF Institute for Economic and Monetary Policy, OMFIF’s core stream of activities covering economic and monetary policy and the political economy.
