Financing growth and development in emerging markets
OMFIF and KfW, the German state-owned development bank, convene a meeting in Singapore on the development of local currency and bond markets in emerging economies. Wencai Zhang, vice-president of the Asian Development Bank, will present the keynote address. Topics for discussion include treating local currency bonds as an asset class and collaboration between market participants, regulators and policy-makers, as well as attracting international capital and managing exchange rate risk.
