Africa’s growth path

OMFIF, in association with the Bank of Ghana, held its second Africa Public Investment Meeting. Held in Accra and hosted by the Bank of Ghana, the meeting featured confidential discussions among 35 selected public and private sector participants.

Lead speakers included:

  •     Charity Dhliwayo, Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe
  •     Eric Meyer, Deputy Assistant Secretary, US Department of the Treasury
  •     Millison Narh, First Deputy Governor, Bank of Ghana
  •     Zhou Chao, Vice President, China-Africa Development Fund

The meeting considered the following four themes:

  •     The state of Africa: Achieving inclusive growth in an era of uncertainty
  •     Africa as a destination for foreign direct and portfolio investment
  •     Mobilising African savings
  •     Perspectives to 2025 – priorities for achieving Africa’s potential
