Kimis, Longhurst-Pierce, Roberts in new roles
Pooma Kimis, director of markets and institutions at OMFIF, has been promoted to deputy managing director. Lauren Roberts, company secretary, has been promoted to director of operations and will join the board, having previously been deputy director as head of human resources and operations.
Edward Longhurst-Pierce, after steering operations through expansion and upgrading, becomes director of development, linking all parts of the company’s business. This includes reinforcing long-term strategic partnerships with members and institutions worldwide, creating flagship products, and managing communications and marketing.
John Plender, OMFIF chairman, said, 'Since joining OMFIF in January 2012, Pooma has been highly effective in building relationships with members and partner institutions, as well as developing our internal operations and management. As second-in-command to David Marsh, managing director, she will continue heading the membership team and formulate overall strategy for revenue generation, research and activities globally. We welcome Pooma's, Edward's and Lauren's enhanced roles.'
The other members of the nine-person board are Jai Arya, John Nugée, Mthuli Ncube and Peter Wilkin.
