Graham Hacche

Graham HaccheVisiting fellow of the National Institute of Economic and Social Research, London

Graham Hacche is a fellow of the National Institute of Economic and Social Research, London, and editor of the chapter on the world economy in its quarterly National Institute Economic Review. He has also recently been a consultant to the International Monetary Fund’s Independent Evaluation Office and the World Bank.

Between 1982-2009 he worked at the IMF, heading the division responsible for the Fund's biannual World Economic Outlook report (1995-99) and serving as deputy director of the External Relations Department (1999-2009).
From 1972-82 he was an economist at the Bank of England, spending a period as a consultant at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (1981-82). He holds degrees in economics from the universities of Cambridge and Oxford.
