Mumtaz Khan is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Middle East & Asia Capital Partners.
Prior to this, until December 2007, he was Chairman and CEO of EMP Bahrain. He established the Islamic Development Bank Infrastructure Fund, of which he was CEO; and was Managing Director at EMP Global in Washington DC.
For three years, he was based in Hong Kong as Resident Partner and Manager of Asian operations of the AIG Asian Infrastructure Fund. Prior to that, he was with the International Finance Corporation for 13 years, where he was a Manager of the Asia Department, based in Washington DC and Resident Representative based in Jakarta, and was responsible for investment in Indonesia and Malaysia.
Khan is a founding shareholder of the Islamic Bank of Asia in Singapore, and a Director at TAV Airports Holding since 2006.
Khan holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology in Lahore and an MBA from Iran Centre for Management Studies in Tehran.
