Caroline Butler of Walcot Partners is a UK-regulated international investment adviser. As CIO for a family partnership with substantial worldwide interests and as an investment adviser to the London School of Economics and Political Science, Walcot Partners’ key client services include asset allocation and manager selection, together with next-generation investment education.
Previously, she was a Director and Head of Risk at Lord North Street, a private investment office managing the assets of families, charities and university endowments. Prior to 2004, Butler was Managing Director and Head of UK Private Wealth Management at Deutsche Bank, London.
Butler began her career at N M Rothschild and S G Warburg in London before moving to New York to join Goldman Sachs and later Louis Dreyfus Corp. The first woman elected to the Board of S G Warburg, her experience includes corporate advisory work, asset management and foreign exchange advice.
Educated at the University of Oxford and the London Business School, Butler’s non-executive roles include Trustee of the Art Fund, Chair of the China Children and Teenagers’ Fund UK’s Advisory Council (China’s first and largest charity), Member of the Kilfinan Group.
