Yaseen AnwarSenior Adviser, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Singapore and Advisory Board Member of the International Monetary Institute, Beijing.

Yaseen Anwar is senior adviser to the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Singapore and on the advisory board of the International Monetary Institute, Renmin University, Beijing. He serves on the advisory board of technology company Inov8 in Dubai and Pakistan.

In 2014 he retired as governor of the Central Bank of Pakistan, where he spent seven years. As governor, he signed currency swap agreements with China and Turkey, and Pakistan became the seventh country to sign an agency agreement with the People’s Bank of China to invest in local government bonds. Prior to the central bank, he worked for more than 30 years in New York, Paris, London, and Egypt with JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America and Merrill Lynch.

He is a graduate of the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
